On Friday morning, a fire broke out in a garment factory located in Bhabanipur of Gazipur Sadar Upazila.
Gazipur Industrial Police-2 Inspector Dulal Uddin stated that two firefighting teams rushed to Orbit Textile after receiving this information. They brought down the flames by 10:30pm.
According to him, the sparks that ignited the fire came from friction in a machine.
Shahinul Haque, Factory Director (Operation), stated that there weren’t any casualties.
It was not possible to determine the extent of damage done by the fire at this time.
