RONALD S. ZENDT

Ronald S. Zendt, 83, of Loysville died peacefully at house on Monday, Might 8, 2023.

He was born Oct. 24, 1939, in Doyles Mills to Shelly and Edna (Casner) Zendt of Juniata County.

He graduated in 1957 from Blain Union Excessive Faculty. He married the love of his life, Louise, in 1960 and in 1963 started a 30-year profession with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Division of Basic Providers, the place he was supervisor of the Blue Print Room, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Adams Lodge 319, New Bloomfield, Nationwide Rifle Affiliation and Fraternal Order of Eagles 1299, Carlisle.

He was preceded in dying by his beloved spouse of 59 years, Louise (Manley) Zendt, who died in 2019.

A service was held Might 12 in Nickel-Lochstampfor Household Funeral House, Loysville. Interment was in Restland Cemetery, Loysville.

Surviving are his spouse of 56 years, Sharon (Perry) Ford, whom he married Dec. 31, 1966; 5 kids, Michele Auxt (Gary) of Duncannon, Patricia Hostler (Arch) of Newport, Lynette Yohn (Tim) of Mifflintown, and Jonathan Ford and Pat Ford, each of Newport; eight grandchildren, Scott Hostler (Emily), Victoria Williams (Lamar), Nicole Hostler, Shania Graybill (Zack), Aimee Yohn, Ashley Yohn, Skyler Robinson (Maverick) and Luke Auxt; and a great-granddaughter, Aubree Williams.

He was preceded in dying by a sister, Patricia Carson.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Might 12 in his church with the Rev. Robert Sharman officiating. Interment, with army honors by Juniata County Veterans Council, was in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
