Piyush Ghoyal, Union Minister for Textiles, Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, said India was a pioneer in sustainable textiles, contributing to a lower carbon footprint and promoting circular economies. He said the Indian textile sector has set a new standard in terms of innovation and appeal with their products. This was during the Minister’s address to the inaugural event for the 69th India International Garment Fair at Greater Noida.
