Clothing retailers anticipate a festive season with the forthcoming sale

Indore’s garment industry looks forward to a prosperous festive season, thanks to an increase in inquiries from companies outside of the region and advanced orders.

In response to a rush of enquiries mainly from the south of the country the clothing industry anticipates an increase of more than 10 per cent for festival related business including Rakshabandhan.

Industry players report that cloth buyers and players in the readymade clothing industry have begun to purchase cloths. A significant rise is expected after mid-August.

Rajpal Agrawal, a readymade garment manufacturer from Indore, expressed his thoughts, saying, “As the season approaches, preparations have commenced, including responding to inquiries and monitoring fabric purchases. We are optimistic about experiencing a more prosperous season this time, especially considering the increased interest shown by buyers.”

Kailash Mungad, Secretary of the Maharaja Tukojirao Cloth Market Merchants Association, commented, “The previous months have been challenging for our sector, but we are now hopeful for improved sales. Full-fledged sales are expected to commence from August, and we have already begun receiving inquiries from players outside the region.”

In Indore, the annual sales of cloth are approximately Rs. 800-1000 crores.
