Gildan Canada ranks 23rd in Fashion Transparency Index for 2023

Gildan is a Canadian-owned American manufacturer of brand clothing. It has won 23 awards.rd Fashion Revolution’s eighth edition Fashion Transparency Index ranked Gildan among the 250 top brands. Gildan received a 54 out of 100 on the Fashion Transparency Index.

“Gildan is proud to be part of The the index for the 7th consecutive year, residing in the same percentile as brands like Adidas, Hugo Boss, and Ralph Lauren; further highlighting our commitment to upholding transparency and ethicality in our business practice,” the company said.

Gildan is a major manufacturer of clothing for everyday use. It ranked as the 23rd company in Fashion Transparency Index’ eighth edition, scoring 54.
The Index assesses 250 global brands on human rights and transparency in the environment.
Gildan is proud to share its percentile percentage with other top brands such as Adidas and Hugo Boss.

The Index ranks 250 of the world’s largest fashion brands and retailers based on their public disclosure of human rights and environmental policies, practices, and impacts, across their operations and supply chains.

In this edition of the Index, the average score of 250 of the world’s largest fashion brands crept up by 2 percentage points to just 26 per cent. In 2023, for the first time ever, two brands achieved a score of 80 percent or more. But 70 brands out of 250 (28%) still fall in the range 0-10%.
