Bangladesh retains 67% of its garment export receipts, according to reports

Thanks to increased use of local raw materials, Bangladesh is able to maintain nearly 67% garment export receipts.

Media reports maintained this while adding that as per data from the Export Promotion Bureau and the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), the retention value of the exported apparel surged 36.36 per cent to US $ 28.5 billion in the financial year of 2021-22 from what was US $ 20.9 billion a year earlier and going on to add that it means Bangladesh was able to retain US $ 28.5 billion in FY ’22, accounting for 66.88 per cent of the total garment export receipts of US $ 42.61 billion in the financial year.

You might also mention that US$ 18 billion of total US $ 28.7 trillion was retained in the apparel sector for 2019-20.
