Adam Melchor shared the track “Garmentbag” to help prepare.

This song is based on an actual story. The singer sings that he wants to encourage someone else to let down their walls. This is a sneak peek of Melchor’s new album. Fruitland The EP is due to be released on September 22.

“Fame is not all that it’s cracked up to be. At least that’s what the person I was dating told me when she was at a party for the Emmys,” says Melchor. We were having a rough time in our relationship, but the woman I was dating got ready at home and asked to return after leaving for an event. It’s funny how you can get what you thought you wanted, but still crave what you already have.”

Then he continued, “I felt it was an accurate metaphor for how our relationship went. I wrote a song because, despite the difficult times, it was us who were together in our street clothes, our dresses, and even our suits. This is a song for anyone who’s tucked someone’s tag, zipped up a dress and been the one who gets to answer ‘well, how do I look?’ before you kiss them goodbye.”
