The Observer: An Oration against Polo Shirts

Polo Shirt, how far are you willing to go in abusing our patience? How much longer can you continue to mock us? What will be the end of this unbridled smugness? A pestilence is ravaging many of the unsuspecting politicians at University of Our Lady. As the rebel leader, I am unfazed in my determination to stop this disease from corrupting our morals or, more importantly, the sense of fashion of our people.

The scope of this argument is limited to university students, who have their wills bound by those practicing. du Lac. Likewise, as I do not know anything about women and their style preferences, I address the student population that is male. How do they appear? What would you call a “business professional” outfit for these people? From where do babies originate? What do you know? I won’t be talking about it in an athletic context where the original design was made. Lastly, I’ll not be discussing the shirt within the context of the uniform because, as everyone knows, making fun of it is considered treason. those in uniform. Once these parameters are established, let’s continue.

In its false promises to be accepted in too many different contexts, the illness is a deception. To their foolishness, those who wear the shirt believe they can combine superlative appearances and optimal comfort at every social event.

When a garment makes you promise everything, the truth is that it does nothing. Which other item of clothing allows for such a wide range of application options? Only underwear and socks come to mind. We wouldn’t be here if the polo shirts were only worn in business casual situations. This is a problem because Mr. Consultant networks 9 to 5 in his Deloitte polo shirt and “networks” 5 to 9 in his Deloitte polo shirt. The pairing of polo shirt with supporting garments can also lead to more offences. Most often, polo shirts are paired with khaki shorts. There is often no consideration for the harmony of color combinations, fabric textures, or styles. The Under Armour Notre Dame dri -fit polo in neon green is not going to look well thought out. When you wore an oversized shirt and shorts with a 9-inch inseam, what was going through your head? You hide in your hoodie with sweatpants when the weather gets cold? The khakis shorts remain underneath. Over-application is the most serious offense.

Some might say, “But, I just wear it because I need something to wear, and I don’t care what I look like.” This ridiculous declaration of apathy seems insensible for an association of men whose intellectual prowess and superior achievement merited them spots at this University. It’s a possibility, but I won’t dismiss it. I ask, “Why did you choose this shirt specifically?” If you wish for pure utility with indifference or even rejection of any care for looks, then why not wear a tarp? Your philosophy might make a tarp more beneficial to wear as it provides protection from the environment. This maniacal utilitarianism is evident.

Some might say, “But, I just want to be comfortable.” It is apparent that many people forsake propriety, an objectively good thing, since they have an inordinate attachment to comfort, or pleasure for that matter. We should not avoid responsibility or difficulty just to be comfortable. Why is life all about comfort and ease? Why be obliged to do something that I don’t want to do? Why can’t I just do things that make me happy? This road will lead you to nowhere.

Some might say, “But, the polo shirt does look very good, or at least good You can’t get enough, with all the pairings you, the author, have mentioned.” This sentiment is very reminiscent of the previous. It is too common for people to settle for less. Since they are not weighed down by a constitution, their lives can be swept from good to bad to good again. You are limiting yourself when your potential is so great. You have yourself told me that you are a mediocre human being. You are not obligated to behave in a way that respects you and communicates this to me.

Not only are our fashion standards too low, our standards in general are also too low. The foundations of relationships are faulty, because self-interest takes precedence over the good that is owed. The romantic relationship is a sadly commercialized and characterised by licentiousness. If we are unable to take care of ourselves, how can we care for others?

We are announcing to the world, that we don’t possess uncalculable dignity. The following are some of the ways to get in touch with us: Out of fear, or sheer ignorance we have stifled so many efforts. The following are some of the ways to get in touch with us: Are made to be so much more.
