Axtra3D provides speed, precision and a patented Hybrid PhotoSynthesis with TruLayer Technology.

Its aim is to increase the effectiveness of 3D-printing applications. Axtra3D TruLayer technology is a revolutionary innovation.

A couple of years back, the company released its Hybrid PhotoSynthesis system that combines digital light processing image generation with stereolithography’s laser into a single coaxial device. Both light sources work in sync to deliver unmatched accuracy, surface quality and 50-micron precision across the entire build platform.

Its patented TruLayer Technology underpins that unique process to eradicate superfluous inter-layer delays by incorporating a trio of sensors onto the glass plate beneath the printer’s membrane. The printing speed of this printer is two-fold faster than that offered by rivals, with the same level of precision.

It allows the rapid separation of the print layer and the vat membrane. This eliminates restrictions on cross-sectional size. The printer is also able to print highly viscous materials.

“We’re able to eliminate the standard wait times and only wait as long as we need to wait because we actually have live feedback from those sensors,” said Axtra3D CRO Paul Spoliansky. “When we turn that technology on, we started seeing that we’re about double the speed of competing technologies on the market.”

Axtra3D’s Lumia X1 is the first 3D printer to offer Hybrid PhotoSynthesis and TruLayer Technology, with the two technologies working together to offer unmatched accuracy, speed, surface quality and printability. Lumia X1 has been designed for a long-lasting working life of 10+ years. The Lumia X1 also meets high safety standards thanks to its magnetic interlock, UV shielded window and emergency stop buttons.

Intelli cartridge is another feature of the Lumia X1 printer. Intelli cartridge actively manages all resin used by the printer. It dispensing into the vat while collecting any extra material. The amount of resin available for printing is increased to eight litres. With this system, there’s no need to manually top up resin, and the mess and waste are reduced. Intelli-cartridges are designed with an automatic resin mixing feature, which ensures consistent material levels in each layer. Infrared heaters also control the temperature. This makes the Intelli-cartridge an invaluable tool, especially for printing large quantities and long production runs.

Hybrid PhotoSynthesis combined with TruLayer Technology, Intelli-cartridge and other technologies opens up a whole new world of possibilities in industrial 3D Printing. It offers an ideal solution for small to medium production runs, while also ensuring speed, accuracy and surface quality.
