WTO says Bangladesh is the second largest apparel exporter in the world after China by 2022.

According to recent data from the World Trade Organisation, China’s apparel export share was 31.7% last year. Last year, it exported apparel valued at $182 billion.

Bangladesh retained the second spot among countries that exported apparel last year. The country’s share in garment trade rose to 7.9 per cent in 2022 from 6.4 per cent in 2021.

Bangladesh exported clothing items worth 45 billion dollars in 2022. This is according to WTO World Trade Statistical Review, 2023.

According to the World Trade Organisation, China was the top apparel exporting nation in 2017. It had a market share of 31,7%.
The export value of clothing is estimated to be $182 Billion in 2022.
Bangladesh retained second place with 7.9 percent of global garments trade in the last year.
Vietnam was ranked third with a market share of 6.1%.

Vietnam was ranked third with a market share of 6.1%. In 2022, it will have shipped goods worth $35 billion.
