Delta Apparel’s Financial Leadership Team Expands to Support Growth Initiatives

GREENVILLE S.C. November 9, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE.) Delta Apparel, Inc., a major provider of lifestyle apparel and core activewear, has announced that Jason Bates, Vice President, Finance, of the Delta Group business segment, was appointed today.

Matt Miller, President of Delta Group, said, “We are happy to welcome Jason to our Delta Group team. Jason will lead the finance function and be in charge of the Delta Group’s forecasting, planning and budgeting processes. He will bring his leadership skills and financial expertise to implement key processes that support long-term strategic visions and business growth.

Jason joins Delta Apparel having nearly 20 years’ experience as an accountant and financial leader. Additionally, he has strong record in supporting and building global businesses. Jason most recently served as Director of Business Planning and Analysis & Commercial Finance at Interface, Inc., a global flooring company specializing in carbon neutral carpet tile and resilient flooring. Jason was responsible for the financial operations of Interface’s US, Canada, and Latin America businesses. Jason previously worked at Newell Brands, a $15 billion global manufacturer and marketer of consumer and commercial products, serving in progressive financial leadership roles including Plant Controller, Operations Finance Manager, SAP Senior Project Manager, and Senior Manager of Global Business Planning & Analysis.

Jason has a bachelor of science degree from the University of Vermont in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Accounting.
