Hed Mayner Backstage collection for Paris Fashion Week SS24

Hed Mayner returns to his comfort zone, with a unique twist. For the Spring/Summer 2024 season, the designer brings to Paris Fashion Week his own flair when it comes to ones typically “boring clothes.”

A simple suit, cotton poplin shirt, and jumper are all examples. Mayner, however, chooses to give a simple and normal garment a new look. Mayner does not shy away when it comes to designing new shapes. The way that the pieces fall on the body and how the garment has a character of its own, is a combination of Mayner’s design process to utilize vintage apparel and his signature layering and cutting of fabric.

The collection features a transparent tracksuit and long-sleeved stocking tops. These have hidden pockets, while two ordinary jackets are also glued to create a minimal but layered appearance. The pieces have been designed to be wrinkled and are created by stitching together two shirts of different sizes. Hed mayner has collaborated with Reebok on oversized multi-pocket technical nylon vests and footwear.

Hed Mayner invigorates new excitement to “boring clothes,” breathing new meaning into used garments.
