Inside Engineered Garments Workaday SS24 Collection

Engineered Garments’ mainline collection is a varied assemblage of Daiki Susi’s diverse inspirations. It features vibrant prints in the summer, and practical textures in the winter.

Engineered Garments Workaday, on the other hand, is pure workwear. No fuss or fanfare here, only garments that are made with the highest standards and for functionality.

The Engineered Garments Workaday spring/summer 2024 is a time of change.

Shot in underexposed black and white photography — very Paul Harnden — and modeled by the Nepenthes New York staff, EG Workaday’s SS24 collection is more involved than your average Workaday line.

Suzuki said to Highsnobiety that “Workaday” is the uniform we wear every day. It’s a foundation of daily style.

The collection includes functional details and designs derived from vintage US Army clothing and US Navy apparel, which ensures versatility and relevancy in modern settings. “The fabrics are durable and robust for all-year wear. The focus is on authenticity.”

Workaday offers a wide range of products all year round, including 9oz. fleece hoodies that are inspired by Champion Reverse Weave.

Nepenthes is the parent company for Engineered Garments. They describe the line as follows: “EG Workaday, a true workwear brand, exists far beyond any season, theme, or trend.” SS24 does not represent a change from the ideal. It is an evolution.

The classic workwear, such as medium weight T-shirts, work pants, and shirting anoraks are still available in EG Workaday SS24. However, they have been joined by pullover smocks (smocks), cropped work jackets (cropped work jackets), T-shirt sweatshirts, and camouflage pattern fatigues.

Fans will enjoy the return of their favorite cap with the “N”.

EG Workaday had dabbled with more expressive offerings before, issuing an occasional capsule or collaboration if Suzuki so desired, but SS24 marks the launch of a brand new Workaday.

Don’t expect anything too drastic — sneaker collabs, for instance, are likely to remain exclusive to mainline EG — but this ain’t your daddy’s Workaday, even though it’s still inspired by the clothes he might’ve worn to get shit done.
