Lorain clothing designer Jevon Terance celebrates 16th anniversary, plans summer fashion show – Morning Journal

Lorain’s international fashion designer celebrates 16 successful years of business.

Jevon Terance owner of Jevon Terance Boutique located at 625 Broadway downtown Lorain celebrated the landmark April 29.

Terance celebrated the sweet 16th anniversary with a champagne and exclusive release of pre-collection.

“We’re celebrating 16 years of designing, and almost 11 years on Broadway,” he said. “I’m proud of myself as a designer, and I want to consistently be able to inspire people through new designs and keep growing.

“Every year, we do want to celebrate because we believe that you should commend yourself on sticking it through another year of business and designing.”

Terance explains that being based in Lorain is a great inspiration for him.

“It may sound naive but I still get excited from this city, especially with our Lorain pieces,” he said. “Being here strikes a lot of inspiration; my family and involvement in organizations also play a huge part. I could move and still be inspired to design really cool things, but I enjoy being in a less saturated market and having a clear mind.”

Within the past year, Terance’s collections have been pulled from showrooms in New York and Miami resulting in magazine and editorial features.

“Since I’m not physically there to fight on behalf of my pieces, it comes from the stylist truly loving them and trusting the pieces enough to put them in front of a celebrity and have them wear it,” he said. “The product gets to prove itself.”
