Morena maintains ethical sustainability

Rosanna Connolly, fashion designer and publicist, launches Morena with the debut product The Morena Logo Scarf.

Rosanna Connolly created Morena and founded the brand. The artist shares her first example, the Morena Logo Scarf, a versatile and high-fashion debut that reflects her passion for fashion’s ethical sustainability. Rosanna’s South African-Indian grandmother inspired Morena, a Rosanna project that acknowledges and supports women working in the garment industry, often of color.

Speaking about this new business Rosanna says: “We’ve spent months designing and developing Morena’s first creation – it’s the perfect, versatile piece, wearable all year round. This logo scarf reflects the soft power that our brand was built upon. It’s a statement about what we stand for and what we’re working towards; an industry that honours garment workers, and therefore Women of Colour”.

Some of Rosanna’s most promising factors for her brand are that the materials used are 100% rPET (recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate) and are ethically made in the UK. Morena is a rising fashion brand which is already drawing attention and is making great strides towards abolishing fast fashion.

Each garment is hand-finished with a rolled hem to show that ethical and sustainable fashion doesn’t have to be equated to poor quality. With worldwide shipping and free UK deliveries, Rosanna is working towards expanding her brands’ horizons. The artist held a live concert to celebrate the Moreno Logo Scarf’s debut.
