Quandum AerospaceSpanish company, Optoelectronics, is one of the first to use Zortrax’s Powerful Trio resin 3D-printing ecosystem.
The company has been a long-time user of Zortrax As 3D printers, he was chosen to be the first to try the Zortrax Powerful Trio. This ecosystem includes the Inkspire 2UV LCD 3D printer and the Zortrax Cleaning Station.
Quandum Aerospace created medical devices components using the new ecosystem after one of its clients ordered them.
Rafael Rodríguez Rosas, Chief Technology Officer at Quandrum, said: “We’ve been working with this system for a month, and I can say with confidence that this is one of the best 3D printing solutions Zortrax has ever created. The system is easy to use, reliable, quick, precise and fast. The ability to effectively handle high-end resins with great efficiency is a major advantage. Such materials have the potential to become a viable alternative for high-performance FDM polymers in aerospace, medical and military applications.”
Zortrax claims that the company received favorable feedback from Quandum about the new ecosystem. Quandum, according to Zortrax, highlighted the interdependence of the systems.
Quandum stated that Zortrax Inkspire 2 is useful in fabricating both large-scale prototypes and small series. According to Quandum, the factory calibration of the platform and the resin control system made it possible for large-part fabrication.
Zortax Cleaning Station is part of the ecosystem. It lifts models out of the cleaning fluid when the process is finished. Quandum highlighted the ease of use for the Zortrax Curing Station as the last step.
