Tomok sells clothes that he had to purchase after his daughter stained them with nail polish

KUALA LUMPUR, April 4 — What happened when you had to buy clothes because your daughter stained them with her nail polish?

Tomok, the local singer, was able to recoup some losses by selling his items via Instagram at reduced prices. MStar reports that Tomok was shocked to find out all his items were gone within an hour.

He recently made the news when he chronicled in a video that his daughter’s oopsie moment took place at a boutique in The Gardens Mall, resulting in him paying for four pairs of jeans priced at RM1,299 each as well as four t-shirts — two of them costing RM499 each and the other two priced at RM449 each. The total cost of all items was RM5,593.

Alhamdulillah! I sold the products yesterday after making a video about the prices of the items. They were gone in an hour.

“Some of my Johore followers bought it along with my friends.

“We were able to get around RM3,000 more. Even though it’s still a loss for me, at least it lessens the burden of paying the full amount last night,” he said.

The New Boyz lead singer, who sold the jeans for RM800 and the t-shirts for RM300 and RM250, respectively.

He said that the experience taught him how to be safer in the future.

“Fortunately I can still afford to pay the amount that night. I don’t know what would happen if it were to happen at a boutique where the items are priced at tens of thousands of ringgit.

“The incident has taught me to be more careful in the future. At the same time, the video I’ve shared previously could also benefit other parents out there,” he said.

The incident took place while Tomok’s wife was looking to buy a pair of jeans at the store while he was on daddy duty.

Tomok assumed full responsibility for the incident and paid the cost of the goods.

He said that he wanted the clothes to be resold because they weren’t in his own size.

Tomok’s initial video garnered over a million views with over 2,000 comments from his friends and followers applauding him for keeping a cool head in handling the whole situation.
