It’s A Mistake To Use Laundry pods For Hand Washing Clothes. This is Why

Laundry pods, which have been on the market for a few years now, are causing safety concerns. This highly concentrated solution should not be applied to your skin, or ingested. If you experience any of the above symptoms, they can be mild or severe. When you accidentally puncture the pod in order to wash your hands, the liquid could be ingested. This could cause nausea, vomiting, epiglottic swelling, and even seizures. The liquid can affect you even if it does not enter your mouth. Inhaling the fumes could cause respiratory issues and irritate eyes. If any liquid gets into your eyes by accident, you may experience pain, swelling, or even conjunctivitis. This is the biggest risk. The concentrated detergent can cause a variety of dermatological problems, ranging from minor rashes up to severe chemical burns.

Even though you can use safety equipment like goggles and masks to clean a spot, it’s best not to use pods. It is not safe to use and could damage fabrics. Because the concentrated formula should be heavily dilute by washing machines, it can stain clothing or leave behind filmy deposits that are difficult to remove.
